A intervenção intitulada Anexo teve como ponto de partida questionar a construção ainda inexistente do Anexo, novo prédio do Museu de Arte da Pampulha, que está a 6 anos em espera e por questões políticas ainda não saiu do papel. O atual prédio do Museu foi construído para ser um cassino, posteriormente foi cedido pela Prefeitura para uso como Museu já que na década de 40, após a proibição dos jogos no Brasil seu uso como cassino foi paralisado. Por ter sido projetado para ser um cassino o edifício tem diversas falhas e não apresenta condições museológicas, por isso foi encomendado um novo projeto “Anexo” ao arquiteto Oscar Niemeyer que iria suprir todas as necessidades encontradas. Para o trabalho, foi realizada uma intervenção no terreno/lote cedido pela Prefeitura de Belo Horizonte para a nova construção do Museu. Foi instalado um stand, estrutura semelhante as encontradas em empreendimentos imobiliários, com o projeto, a maquete original, placa da obra e outros apetrechos sinalizando a chegada desse prédio. No dia 12 de dezembro foi realizado uma festa/coquetel com a presença de convidados e público onde a diretora do Museu de Arte da Pampulha, Priscilla Freire, foi convidada para realizar o discurso e cortar a fita inaugurando o que temos desse Museu “a maquete”. Durante os dias que seguiram o stand ficou aberto a visitação onde uma corretora de imóveis contratada apresentava o projeto aos visitantes.

Intervention named Anexo had as a starting point to question the still non-existent construction of the Anexo, the new building of the Pampulha Art Museum, which is six years waiting political issues and have not yet got off the ground. The current museum building was built to be a casino, it was later was conceded by the city for use as a museum since the 40s, after the prohibition of games in Brazil its use as a casino was paralyzed. Because it was designed to be a casino building, has several flaws and doesn’t show museological conditions, so it was commissioned a new project “Anexo” to the architect Oscar Niemeyer that would meet and solve all the needs. For this work, an intervention was made on the ground / plot donated by the city of Belo Horizonte for the new construction of the museum. A stand, similar structure found in the real estate projects, with the project, the original model, the project board and other paraphernalia signaling the arrival of this building were installed. On December 12th it was held a party / cocktail party attended by guests and public where the director of the Pampulha Art Museum, Priscilla Freire, was invited to give a speech and cut the ribbon inaugurating what we have of this museum “the model “. During the days that followed the stand was open to visitation where a real estate agent had been contracted to present the Annex project to visitors.
