Em Cartaz propõe uma reflexão sobre a importância do cinema de rua a partir da icônica frase "O cinema não tem futuro comercial” dita por Auguste Lumiére no século XIX, um dos inventores da arte do cinema. Em sua frase Lumiére afirmava a importância e comprometimento com a arte cinematográfica, que deveria cumprir muito mais uma função artística do que comercial. Para a ação a frase foi colocada na fachada do Cinema São Luiz em Recife – PE, nos letreiros destinados a informar o público sua programação em cartaz. Inaugurado na década de 1950, este cinema, é hoje um dos poucos cinemas de rua no Brasil, tombado como monumento histórico pelo Governo do Estado, recebendo subsídio do governo para continuar existindo, sendo um exemplo de resistência Cultural.

Em Cartaz proposes a reflection on the importance of street theatre concerning the iconic phrase “Cinema has no commercial future,” said by Auguste Lumiere in the nineteenth century, one of the film inventors. In his statement, Lumiére affirmed the importance and commitment to cinematographic art, it should perform much an artistic function than comercial. For the action the phrase was placed on the facade of Cinema São Luiz in Recife. - PE, where the signs to inform the public what was showing in theatres. Opened in the 1950s , this movie theatre is today, one of the few street theatres in Brazil remained, listed as a historic monument by the State Government, receiving government subsidy to continue to exist, being an example of cultural resistance.
