Letreiro Objetivo consiste em um grande neon com 2 metros de altura por 12 metros de comprimento, instalado no topo de um prédio modernista, projeto do arquiteto luso-brasileiro Delfim Amorim, situado na Av. Dantas Barreto em Recife – PE. Atualmente em situação precária, o prédio abriga a sede da Associação da Imprensa de Pernambuco e seu cinema, o cinema AIP. Apagado e quase invisível durante o dia, durante a noite esse letreiro anuncia THE END, referência ao cinema AIP que fechou suas portas, e a inexistência da Associação hoje no edifício, mas também ao descaso com a arquitetura moderna em Recife, ou mesmo as questões urbanísticas e culturais da Cidade.

Letreiro Objetivo consists of a large neon with 2 meters high by 12 meters in length, installed on top of a modernist building, a project by a Luso-Brazilian architect Delfim Amorim, located at Av Dantas Barreto in Recife. - PE. Currently in a precarious situation, the building houses the headquarters of the Association of Pernambuco Press and its cinema, the AIP cinema. Deleted and almost invisible during the day, at night this sign announces THE END, reference to the AIP cinema that has closed its doors, and the absence of the Association today in the building, but also the neglect of modern architecture in Recife, or even urban and cultural City issues.
