Recife áudio guide teve em seu processo de criação a apropriação de 11 contos da obra literária “Assombrações do Recife Velho” do escritor Gilberto Freyre (1900-1987). O visitante ao entrar no MAMAM, via na recepção um painel luminoso em led, informando um “serviço educativo”, ao solicitar o serviço, ele recebia um aparelho de áudio junto com um mapa para iniciar sua visita. No mapa, alguns pontos no entorno do museu estavam marcados como: Teatro de Santa Isabel, Ponte Velha, Rua Imperial, entre outros. Ao dar início, o visitante ouvia a seguinte informação: “Recife Audio Guide, para dar início a visita guiada dirija-se a área externa do Museu, siga a ordem do aparelho ou selecione um ponto a sua escolha, boa visita!”. Em cada faixa, o visitante ouvia um conto apropriado do livro “Assombrações do Recife Velho”, lendas urbanas que aconteceram na Cidade do Recife - PE em décadas passadas, em que o autor cita diretamente algum ponto marcado no mapa. Uma proposição que apresentava ao público uma nova forma de percepção da cidade resgatando sua história e memória, porém em alguns momentos o visitante se deparava com algo não mais existente, como alguma rua ou construção, apagados pelo avanço da cidade.

Recife áudio guide had in its creation process the appropriation of 11 tales of the literary work “Assombrações do Recife Velho” (Ghosts of the Old Recife) from th writer Gilberto Freyre (1900-1987). The visitor entering the MAMAM by the front desk saw a light panel led informing an “educational service” when requesting the service, he received an audio component with a map to start your visit. On the map, some points surrounding the museum were tagged: Teatro de Santa Isabel, Ponte Velha, Rua Imperial, among others. At the beginning of the tour, visitors could hear the following information: “Recife Audio Guide, to start the tour go to the outside of the museum, follow the order of the device or select a point you choose, good visit.” In each track, visitors hear a tale from the tale book “ Assombrações do Recife Velho”,urban legends that have happened in the city of Recife - PE in the past decades, in which the author quotes directly some point marked on the map. A proposition which presented to the public a new way of perception of the city, recovering its history and memory, but at times the visitor was confronted with something that no longer exists, as any street or building, erased by the advance of the city.
